Day 1: Arrival at Colombo – Transfer to Kandy

The name Kandy, a magical city on the hills, conjures visions of splendor and magnificence. Kandy was the last capital of the Sri Lankan kings before falling to the British in 1815AD. It is a World Heritage Site where many of the legends, traditions and folklore are still lovingly kept alive.

The center of attraction is the golden roofed Temple of the Tooth Relic of Lord Buddha .The Kandy Lake built by the last King Sri Wickramarajasinghe in 1806 holds a prominent view of the City. It is a City for arts and crafts as well as culture and history.

  • Arrive at Colombo airport as per your flight schedule
  • After immigration our representative will greet you at the arrival counter and transfer you to the assembly point in the airport to transfer your to Kandy
  • En-route stop at Pinnewala Elephant orphanage.
  • After visiting the Elephant orphanage proceed to Kand and check-in to your hotel
  • Rest of the day at leisure. In the evening proceed for Kandy Cultural Program (optional)
  • Overnight at Kandy

Day 2: Kandy – Nuwara Eliya (2 hr. drive)

Singapore is a city-state in Southeast Asia. Founded as a British trading colony in 1819, since independence it has become one of the world’s most prosperous countries and boasts the world’s busiest port. Combining the skyscrapers and subways of a modern, affluent city with a medley of Chinese, Malay and Indian influences and a tropical climate, with tasty food, good shopping and a vibrant night-life scene, this Garden City makes a great stopover or springboard into the region.

  • Post breakfast check-out from the hotel and proceed to the Royal Botanical Garden and Kandy city tour
  • After the city tour proceed to Nuwara Eliya
  • En-route visit Sita Amman Temple and Hanuman Temple
  • Reach Nuwara Eliya and check-in to the Hotel
  • Rest of the day to be spent at leisure

Day 3: Nuwara Eliya

Nuwara Eliya, because of its invigorating mountain climate and scenery, is Sri Lanka’s most popular hill resort. It is also the heart of Sri Lanka’s tea country, producing a significant share of the worlds best tea. Sri Lanka’s highest mountain Pidurutalagala (8282 feet) is located here. Nuwara Eliya also has one of the finest 18 hole golf courses in South Asia.

  • Post breakfast you get to relax and explore on your own this beautiful hill station at leisure
  • Optional activities to indulge in: Take a boat ride at the lake and/or visit one of the tea estates to indulge in the tea plucking experience
  • Overnight stay at Nuwara Eliya

Day 4: Nuwara Eliya – Bentota (6hrs drive)

Bentota is everything a tropical paradise should be – miles of golden, palm – fringed beaches, lapped by the azure waters of the Indian Ocean. The township offers visitors an opportunity to explore Sri Lanka’s natural, cultural and historical riches at their own pace.

  • After Breakfast check-out from the Hotel and drive to Bentota
  • En-route visit the famous Gregory lake, Strawberry garden, Botanical garden, Tea Factory and Ambewela (New Zealand) farms (3 hrs of sightseeing)
  • One can also enjoy a tranquil boat ride in the Gregory lake (at additional cost and weather permitting)
  • On the way you may also wish to take up rafting at the famous Kitulgala river
  • Reach Bentota and check-in to the hotel by late evening for overnight stay

Day 5: Bentota – Colombo (5 hrs drive)

  • After breakfast check-out from the hotel and proceed to Colombo
  • Reach Colombo by lunch and check-in to the hotel
  • After freshening up proceed for Colombo sightseeing
  • Return to your hotel for overnight stay

Day 6: Departure

  • Breakfast at the hotel
  • Visit the famous House of fashion and Odel Mall for shopping
  • Based on flight departure, check-out by 2 pm and get transferred to the airport to board your flight
