In Karwar (just 90 km from Goa,) government-run Jungle Lodges and Resorts (JLR) offers very scenic and natural spaces to explore, while you are still in Karnataka. Other places to visit nearby are Yana for magnificent rock formations and Gokarna for the Mahabaleshwara temple and beaches.

Shopping: Towns nearby like Kumta offer amazing sandalwood craftsmanship. Local produce and souvenirs are available at small shopping outlets on the resorts. Gokarna, a pilgrimage town offers prayer articles, cotton garments and ayurvedic products.
